Te Ara Kahikatea Pathway offers a lovely walking experience nestled in the heart of Te Puke. Visitors appreciate the peaceful environment and natural setting, making it a great spot for a casual stroll. While the boardwalks can get flooded after heavy rain, the pathway remains a charming destination for nature lovers. Be mindful of unleashed dogs, as keeping pets leashed is a local bylaw that ensures a comfortable visit for everyone.

a year agoGreat walkway but boardwalks tend to become flooded over after heavy rain at low points. Up to knees! Be great if they were raised a bit more

3 years agoWe started the walk at the Old Cemetary although you can start at Commerce Lane. Both have plenty of parking. The 4km long path follows the Waiari Stream through paddocks and grassland on a wide track. It passes under the Railway Bridge and passes the dog shelter and waste water plant via a boardwalk to Jubilee Park. It follows on to Lawrence Oliver Park, which has picnic tables, back to the Landscape Rd carpark. Is a good, easy walk on a sunny day

a year agolovely walk but be aware of unleashed dogs rushing up to bark and/or bowl you over- its a bylaw that all dogs have to be on leashes- big ups to those who either have their pooches on leashes or put them on when they see folks approaching
